Visiting
The room
Four manicure desks along one wall, three pedicure chairs along the other, and a back room with a door that closes for waxing and massage. Tools come out of a sealed pouch in front of you, files and buffers are single-use, and the pedicure basins are lined with the liner changed between every client. Ventilation runs over the desks rather than past them, so the room does not smell like a nail salon.
Booking a chair
Appointments beat walk-ins, especially for extensions and for anything in the back room. Two people who want to sit together should book Side by Side rather than two separate slots — it is the same work, at the same time, in the two chairs by the window.
